The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Américo Ramires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Américo Palha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Castel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Walter Erviti hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Américo Palha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Castel in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Xavier Brás hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 22 minutes into the match, SAN LORENZO FC's Walter Erviti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Américo Palha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Aristides Castel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Américo Palha. Campus Douro Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aristides Castel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Américo Ramires in the 27th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Natalio Mitxaut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Américo Ramires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Campus Douro Academy's Américo Palha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Castel in the 33rd minute of play. Américo Palha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Castel in the 34th minute of the match. After 35 played minutes Campus Douro Academy got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Brás. In the 36th match minute, SAN LORENZO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Erviti to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aristides Castel in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Américo Palha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 42 minutes into the match, Campus Douro Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Aristides Castel came free, but Américo Palha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 48th minute, Gusmão Castro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Natalio Mitxaut was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

The wind increased when Aristides Castel made the kick off in the second half. Américo Ramires blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natalio Mitxaut having to make a save. SAN LORENZO FC's Aristides Castel got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Américo Palha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Castel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aristides Castel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SAN LORENZO FC's Aristides Castel got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Américo Palha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Castel in the 68th minute of play. Nereo Rodas hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Nereo Rodas kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Campus Douro Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Casimiro Jenaro came free, but Américo Palha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Américo Ramires in the 97th minute of play forced SAN LORENZO FC's goalkeeper Natalio Mitxaut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SAN LORENZO FC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Campus Douro Academy had controlled the match.
