In the 5th minute Rick de Zee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Calvino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paolo Aguirre kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. With a little luck, Rondo's Orestis Lazarou got control of the ball when Cornelio Ixidor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Orestis Lazarou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cornelio Ixidor in the 22nd minute of play. Dario Bingen's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Orestis Lazarou firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Rondo's Orestis Lazarou got control of the ball when Dario Bingen tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the Rondo defense, Dario Bingen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Orestis Lazarou. The Rondo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Orestis Lazarou should have stopped the shot. Denis Calvino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnout Arends in the 37th minute of the match. Atlético Villa Gesell's Denis Calvino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacco Hekman in the 42nd minute of play. Dario Bingen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orestis Lazarou having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Arnout Arends's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denis Calvino was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Charly Rusterholz made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Dario Bingen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Orestis Lazarou breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Orestis Lazarou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dario Bingen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olof Huizinga during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Rondo getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Olof Huizinga hit a great ball. A hard shot 67 in the game by Jacco Hekman from a close distance when the talented Denis Calvino managed to make a qualified save. Atlético Villa Gesell's players were relieved. Atlético Villa Gesell's Laureano Efraim was substituted for Eriberto Aztore. In the 78th minute of the match Rondo got a corner. Atlético Villa Gesell's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rick de Zee ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Rick de Zee almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atlético Villa Gesell's Denis Calvino did a great save. 79 minutes into the match, Rondo's goal looked a bit too open when Cornelio Ixidor came free, but Orestis Lazarou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Atlético Villa Gesell's Cornelio Ixidor in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rondo played a much better game than Atlético Villa Gesell and deserved their victory. The Atlético Villa Gesell players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
