Atlético Rio Cuarto were furious when Paulo Ferrari was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Atlético Rio Cuarto:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of CA Juventud Unida:s goal. Bernardino Dimas had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Saverio Petrigai's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Bernardino Dimas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Braulio Iyan in the 13th minute of play. Bernardino Dimas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saverio Petrigai in the 17th minute of the match. In the 19thth minute of the game Braulio Iyan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atlético Rio Cuarto's Bernardino Dimas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bernardino Dimas stood somewhat misplaced when Braulio Iyan came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 19 minute. 22 minutes into the match, Atlético Rio Cuarto's goal looked a bit too open when Saverio Petrigai came free, but Bernardino Dimas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CA Juventud Unida were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Atlético Rio Cuarto's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Modesto Cheche took the corner. CA Juventud Unida's Modesto Cheche was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bernardino Dimas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Inautzi in the 25th minute of play forced CA Juventud Unida's goalkeeper Robustiano Calvet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardino Dimas came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by CA Juventud Unida's Saverio Petrigai. But to his dismay, Saverio Petrigai quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 33rd minute, Saverio Petrigai made a precise shot to the right of Bernardino Dimas. Atlético Rio Cuarto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. The supporters of Atlético Rio Cuarto booed when CA Juventud Unida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albano Argider didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robustiano Calvet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelino Inautzi in the 37th minute of play. Braulio Iyan struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Bernardino Dimas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CA Juventud Unida. Bernardino Dimas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saverio Petrigai in the 42nd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Angelino Inautzi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardino Dimas was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Saverio Petrigai capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Saverio Petrigai really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Angelino Inautzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saverio Petrigai in the 53rd minute of play forced Atlético Rio Cuarto's goalkeeper Bernardino Dimas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardino Dimas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. CA Juventud Unida's Jeremias Medina was substituted for Braulio Iyan. Jeremias Medina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donato Suarez hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the game, Rainer Marthaler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Bernardino Dimas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Atlético Rio Cuarto's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
