The referee ignored Santos Campineiro's protests and gave Adilson Camargo a yellow card for diving instead. Adilson Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. The supporters of La Academia booed when Santos Campineiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Onuralp Ergüden didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Santos Campineiro getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Onuralp Ergüden hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gong Peng Bo in the 26th minute of play forced Santos Campineiro's goalkeeper Ahmad Reza Asadi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Santos Campineiro's goalkeeper Ahmad Reza Asadi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Santos Campineiro's Sidnei Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

57 minutes into the match, Santos Campineiro's goal looked a bit too open when Lalo Salamanca came free, but Ahmad Reza Asadi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 60 played minutes, La Academia's Maxín Bacarreza shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ahmad Reza Asadi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Academia reached it. Ahmad Reza Asadi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robby Woody's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Francisco Alberto Zañartu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmad Reza Asadi having to interfere. Robby Woody sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd match minute, Santos Campineiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson Camargo to maneuver through the defense. Ahmad Reza Asadi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robby Woody in the 73rd minute of the match. Ahmad Reza Asadi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Sillén in the 75th minute of play. A collision led to Santos Campineiro getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Jonathan Orlandus hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, Aaron Mazuste had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ahmad Reza Asadi. Santos Campineiro's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aaron Mazuste was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidnei Baptista in the 84th minute of play forced La Academia's goalkeeper Iwan Grocholski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, La Academia's goalkeeper Iwan Grocholski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sidnei Baptista. Sidnei Baptista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Iwan Grocholski made a huge save. Ahmad Reza Asadi came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by La Academia's Eric Sillén. But to his dismay, Eric Sillén quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. There was no doubt that La Academia were the better team. La Academia's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
