In the 7th minute, Beltran Isenegger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Lindfield's goalkeeper Pierre Dexter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Beltran Isenegger. Lindfield's Pierre Dexter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutger Schreiber in the 14th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cyril Monney during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Lindfield booed when FC Basel 2024 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cyril Monney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Deniz Yelmorini kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Olaf Schreiber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jon Bilton in the 19th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Basel 2024 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Niall Anson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. During the 31st minute of the match Cyril Monney completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cyril Monney a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 31st minute, Cyril Monney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes in the game, Oswin Stante fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Pierre Dexter having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Beltran Isenegger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pierre Dexter. Lindfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beltran Isenegger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beltran Isenegger got free with Pierre Dexter in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 39th minute, Marek Lomas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beltran Isenegger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Dexter having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, FC Basel 2024 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lutger Schreiber to maneuver through the defense. Gunther Montandon charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gunther Montandon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes FC Basel 2024 got a freekick which was hit by Gunther Montandon. Jon Bilton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Olaf Schreiber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Bilton in the 51st minute of the match. Beltran Isenegger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Dexter having to interfere. After 56 played minutes Lindfield got a freekick which was hit by Camron Coogan. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lutger Schreiber during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 61st minute, Lutger Schreiber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute, Beltran Isenegger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pierre Dexter was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 70th minute, Lindfield's Jon Bilton ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Olaf Schreiber. Olaf Schreiber yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. A collision led to FC Basel 2024 getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Lutger Schreiber hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Niall Anson got free with Olaf Schreiber in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Olaf Schreiber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Bilton in the 78th minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, Lindfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brendon Holland to maneuver through the defense. Beltran Isenegger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Beltran Isenegger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of FC Basel 2024:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lindfield:s goal. In the 88th minute there was a penalty for Lindfield. Brendon Holland stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Olaf Schreiber. 2-3. After some careless play in the Lindfield defense, Paulin Feldmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pierre Dexter. The Lindfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pierre Dexter should have stopped the shot. Lindfield succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FC Basel 2024 had controlled the match.
