Rabonas FC's Jonatan Josefsson got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Rasmus Ekerot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18thth minute of the game Jonatan Josefsson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carioca AD's Túlio Santana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marko Åberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Túlio Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Túlio Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernst Busk in the 23rd minute of the match. After having played for 25 minutes, Eusébio de Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carioca AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eusébio de Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Túlio Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonatan Josefsson in the 26th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Carioca AD's goal looked a bit too open when Jonatan Josefsson came free, but Túlio Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 minutes, João Pedro Oliveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carioca AD and the Rabonas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rabonas FC's Jonatan Josefsson got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gugu Correia in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eskil Fastesson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marko Åberg hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute Gugu Correia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eskil Fastesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Eusébio de Toledo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Ernst Busk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Túlio Santana. Carioca AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernst Busk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 68th minute, Jonatan Josefsson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Túlio Santana. The goal made the score 0-2. The supporters of Rabonas FC booed when Carioca AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlinhos Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The nice shot from Jonatan Josefsson in the 76thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Túlio Santana had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. João Pedro Oliveira kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Carioca AD's Túlio Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rasmus Ekerot in the 93rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Carioca AD's zone, Jonatan Josefsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Túlio Santana came out of the goal and Jonatan Josefsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Rabonas FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Carioca AD throughout the match.
