SK Lim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. 江朋竞 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 杜凌斌 hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Pepsi's zone, Daniel Ee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 江朋竞 came out of the goal and Daniel Ee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of FC Pepsi booed when Hillhead FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Farhan Ching didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Pepsi's goalkeeper 江朋竞, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Darryl Yang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Firdauz Ee in the 36th minute of play forced FC Pepsi's goalkeeper 江朋竞 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 任延朋 made in the 39th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Hillhead FC's Ali Gopala Pillai. If Firdauz Ee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Pepsi booed when Hillhead FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tan Chien-Kwan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Firdauz Ee was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tan Chien-Kwan in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 江朋竞 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Firdauz Ee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 江朋竞 having to interfere. Firdauz Ee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the game, Hillhead FC's Firdauz Ee nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 江朋竞 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by 杜凌斌 in the 62nd minute of play forced Hillhead FC's goalkeeper Hamir Amin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 江朋竞 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Firdauz Ee, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 杜凌斌 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Hamir Amin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamir Amin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but 杜凌斌 showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 81 minute of play. Hillhead FC's attentive Ali Gopala Pillai managed to snatch the ball when 任延朋 made a throw-in in the 86th minute of the game. Hillhead FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when 楚国峰 scored to the left of an out of position Hamir Amin, making the score, 2-4. In the 95thth minute of the game Firdauz Ee who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Pepsi's 江朋竞 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
