Gehan Palmer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beltran Isenegger, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Beartlai McGlenn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Olaf Schreiber made a huge save. Beartlai McGlenn's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olaf Schreiber read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Beltran Isenegger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 0-1 became the score in the 14th minute when Lutger Schreiber elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When FC Basel 2024's Beltran Isenegger in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Inchibeg's goalie prevented a goal. In the 20th minute, Lutger Schreiber left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Basel 2024 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Gehan Palmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lutger Schreiber in the 23rd minute of play. Inchibeg's Gehan Palmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutger Schreiber in the 27th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brenan McPaul during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Inchibeg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brenan McPaul to maneuver through the defense. FC Basel 2024's Lutger Schreiber got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes in the game, Beltran Isenegger dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Inchibeg's Gehan Palmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutger Schreiber in the 38th minute of play. Olaf Schreiber came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Inchibeg's Beartlai McGlenn. But to his dismay, Beartlai McGlenn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lutger Schreiber to strike the kick off in the second half. If Lutger Schreiber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Beartlai McGlenn came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Inchibeg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beartlai McGlenn couldn't finish the play. Beltran Isenegger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gehan Palmer having to interfere. Lutger Schreiber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th match minute, Inchibeg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Earnán Keegan to maneuver through the defense. Gunther Montandon took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gehan Palmer. Inchibeg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Beltran Isenegger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 67thth minute tested the skills of Gehan Palmer when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 69 minutes into the match, Inchibeg's goal looked a bit too open when Lutger Schreiber came free, but Gehan Palmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lutger Schreiber in the 74th minute of play forced Inchibeg's goalkeeper Gehan Palmer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76thth minute of the game Lutger Schreiber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Inchibeg's Gehan Palmer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Alan Doyle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 85 played minutes FC Basel 2024 got a freekick which was hit by Cyril Monney. A collision led to FC Basel 2024 getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Lutger Schreiber hit a great ball. The supporters of Inchibeg booed when FC Basel 2024 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunther Montandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gehan Palmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lutger Schreiber in the 96th minute of the match.
