The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bouabdellah Bendjedid struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Blaise Monie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taneytown AF. In the 9th minute Vincent Signoret shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tedj Saïfi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Henri Fresnel almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Taneytown AF's Tedj Saïfi did a great save. Charlie Rieffel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vincent Signoret struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Tedj Saïfi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Poutier FC. Poutier FC's Alphonse Lourdel got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henri Fresnel kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daho Mimoun in the 22nd minute of play forced Poutier FC's goalkeeper Blaise Monie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the last second Blaise Monie throw himself and got hold of the ball when Mohamed Dahleb in the 24thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Taneytown AF's Tedj Saïfi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Signoret in the 27th minute of play. After some careless play in the Poutier FC defense, Abdel Madjer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Blaise Monie. The Poutier FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Blaise Monie should have stopped the shot. After 31 played minutes Taneytown AF got a freekick which was hit by Hamid Abrika. Charlie Rieffel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tedj Saïfi having to interfere. Tedj Saïfi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vincent Signoret, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Tedj Saïfi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Charlie Rieffel went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Bouabdellah Bendjedid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blaise Monie having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charlie Rieffel in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tedj Saïfi saved Taneytown AF from getting behind. Tedj Saïfi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henri Fresnel in the 63rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Henri Fresnel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tedj Saïfi was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 65th minute, Davy Laurens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Blaise Monie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohamed Dahleb, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Taneytown AF's Tedj Saïfi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vincent Signoret in the 68th minute of play. Henri Fresnel kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Mohamed Dahleb might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Blaise Monie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mohamed Dahleb ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Poutier FC's zone, Mohamed Dahleb stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blaise Monie came out of the goal and Mohamed Dahleb tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tedj Saïfi came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Poutier FC's Vincent Signoret. But to his dismay, Vincent Signoret quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. If Vincent Signoret had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Benjamin Dupe threw the ball into play from the sideline. Taneytown AF's Abdel Madjer quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Carl Pied fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poutier FC's protests and gave Carl Pied a yellow card for diving instead. In the 84th minute, Carl Pied hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tedj Saïfi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henri Fresnel in the 87th minute of the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Souad Kacha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taneytown AF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Souad Kacha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ahmed Reda Djebbour made in the 90th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Daho Mimoun. An unexpectedly hard shot by Souad Kacha in the 93rd minute of play forced Poutier FC's goalkeeper Blaise Monie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hubert Lange charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hubert Lange the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Hubert Lange hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
