Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Craig Crain made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes into the match, Derby County's goal looked a bit too open when Niall Anson came free, but Jeromy Martineau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Craig Crain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeromy Martineau came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Lindfield's Niall Anson. But to his dismay, Niall Anson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jon Bilton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeromy Martineau having to make a save. Craig Crain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arthur Esposito during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Derby County got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Esposito. Lindfield's Pierre Dexter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Craig Crain in the 17th minute of play. Derby County's attentive Theirn Vadeboncoeur managed to snatch the ball when Benji Halliday made a throw-in in the 25th minute of the game. Pierre Dexter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Craig Crain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niall Anson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camron Coogan in the 32nd minute of play forced Derby County's goalkeeper Jeromy Martineau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Craig Crain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Craig Crain notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Lindfield's Pierre Dexter. Pierre Dexter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Lindfield getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Camron Coogan hit a great ball. Arthur Esposito hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.
In the 51st minute, Otis Kirkland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Odis Perez kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the match, Derby County's goal looked a bit too open when Jon Bilton came free, but Jeromy Martineau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 55 played minutes Derby County got a freekick which was hit by Odis Perez. Pierre Dexter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chong Beaulac in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Bilton in the 63rd minute of play forced Derby County's goalkeeper Jeromy Martineau to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierre Dexter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chong Beaulac in the 65th minute of the match. Forest Coupart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Dexter having to interfere. Dominik Gilroy kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Derby County's Odis Perez got a free kick in the 79th minute. Jon Bilton received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jeromy Martineau came out and tried to block the shot, but Jon Bilton slotted it home off the left post making it 5-3 in the 81st minute. Derby County's Forest Coupart got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Lindfield's zone, Craig Crain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierre Dexter came out of the goal and Craig Crain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeromy Martineau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marek Lomas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Derby County fans cheered their team off the field, for while Lindfield had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
