An unexpectedly hard shot by Niall Anson in the 7th minute of play forced Hillhead FC's goalkeeper Hamir Amin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marek Lomas took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hamir Amin. Hamir Amin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Jon Bilton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute Niall Anson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamir Amin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pierre Dexter was out of position in the 19 minute of play, and Firdauz Ee capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Firdauz Ee really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Benji Halliday's late challenge caught a Hillhead FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benji Halliday helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd minute, Benji Halliday hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hillhead FC's Firdauz Ee got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hamir Amin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camron Coogan in the 29th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Firdauz Ee fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Darryl Yang charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darryl Yang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Darryl Yang hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Jon Bilton struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Hamir Amin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lindfield. 41 minutes into the match, Firdauz Ee notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Lindfield's Pierre Dexter. Pierre Dexter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Lindfield's zone, Firdauz Ee stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierre Dexter came out of the goal and Firdauz Ee tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 47 minutes, Marek Lomas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lindfield and the Hillhead FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th minute, Marek Lomas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jon Bilton made a kick off. 59 minutes into the match, Firdauz Ee had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pierre Dexter. Lindfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Firdauz Ee was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. When Marek Lomas was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 62 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Lindfield's Marek Lomas got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Benji Halliday hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Firdauz Ee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Pierre Dexter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jon Bilton during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lindfield's Jon Bilton got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Lindfield's Jon Bilton got his second yellow card of the match in the 91st minute. The referee ordered Jon Bilton off the ground. In the 93rd minute Firdauz Ee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierre Dexter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 95 minutes, Firdauz Ee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hillhead FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Firdauz Ee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hillhead FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
