Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sultan Vishveshwara took the kick off in the first half of the match. Asvavan Barn made in the 3rd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Heman Chawla. A collision led to Chi Minh City getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Đinh Phu hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Chi Minh City's zone, Bhimangada Sutantar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Hong came out of the goal and Bhimangada Sutantar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Phuoc kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Nguyễn Viet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bhavjeet Pandey having to interfere. Bhavjeet Pandey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Viet in the 28th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Đinh Phu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chi Minh City and the Old Leake players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nguyễn Viet might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bhavjeet Pandey. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Viet ran back to his position shaking his head. Nguyễn Viet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bhavjeet Pandey having to make a save. In the 37th minute, Apu Pawar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Đinh Phu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Bhavjeet Pandey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Old Leake getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gaur Varma hit a great ball. Old Leake's Bhavjeet Pandey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Viet in the 44th minute of play. Trần Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sultan Vishveshwara in the 48th minute of play.
After having played for 52 minutes, Heman Chawla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Old Leake's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heman Chawla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 60th minute Nguyễn Viet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bhavjeet Pandey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bacharaja Siddhu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Trần Hong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Apu Pawar struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Trần Hong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Old Leake. In the 79th minute, Sultan Vishveshwara made a precise shot to the right of Trần Hong. Chi Minh City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Chi Minh City's Đinh Phu managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Asvavan Barn in the 82 minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Nguyễn Viet kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bhavjeet Pandey. That made the score 1-3 in the 85 minute of play. In the 89th minute of the match Chi Minh City got a corner. Old Leake's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Đặng Thuyet ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Chi Minh City's Đặng Thuyet to fire away a dangerous shot which Bhavjeet Pandey despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nguyễn Viet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bhavjeet Pandey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
