KKS Lech Poznań's Józef Mlynarczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris McGrowther in the 8th minute of play. In the 11thth minute of the game Jeremy Ferries who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KKS Lech Poznań's Józef Mlynarczyk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 12 minutes, Jeremy Ferries made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. KKS Lech Poznań's Józef Mlynarczyk tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to KKS Lech Poznań getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Miromir Majerowicz hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ignacy Czekaj kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ruben Nalo. That made the score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver McOmish in the 25th minute of play forced KKS Lech Poznań's goalkeeper Józef Mlynarczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, Michal Pazura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 33 minutes, Jeremy Ferries managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BARABA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jeremy Ferries was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fryderyk Hajto hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 43rd minute, Jeremy Ferries hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremy Ferries was the one to do the kick off. After 61 played minutes BARABA got a freekick which was hit by Malcolm Brown. After a defensive mix-up in BARABA's zone, Damian Jaraczeski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ruben Nalo came out of the goal and Damian Jaraczeski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruben Nalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miromir Majerowicz in the 64th minute of the match. Ignacy Czekaj scored 4-1 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruben Nalo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ruben Nalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miromir Majerowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruben Nalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miromir Majerowicz in the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, BARABA's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Golec came free, but Ruben Nalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oliver McOmish kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Ruben Nalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Golec, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Miromir Majerowicz took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruben Nalo. Ruben Nalo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. KKS Lech Poznań walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
