Chiquito Benítez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luiz Fernando Peixoto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Deportivo Mandiyu's Roque Narvaja got control of the ball when Alex Arantes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bezerros EC's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando Peixoto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Deportivo Mandiyu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Aristides Hermelando in the 36th minute. In the 36th minute, Alejo Bermudo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chiquito Benítez scored 0-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Fernando Peixoto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luiz Fernando Peixoto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Chiquito Benítez went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Bezerros EC's Luiz Fernando Peixoto got control of the ball when Arne Bronco tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 66 played minutes Bezerros EC got a freekick which was hit by Alex Arantes. Alex Arantes hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Deportivo Mandiyu's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Arantes came free, but Roque Narvaja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho do Vale in the 73rd minute of play forced Deportivo Mandiyu's goalkeeper Roque Narvaja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Benigno Larpe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Luiz Fernando Peixoto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benigno Larpe in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fernando Peixoto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luiz Fernando Peixoto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Remir in the 83rd minute of the match. Clóvis Camargo hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Luiz Fernando Peixoto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benigno Larpe in the 86th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonides Remir in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Fernando Peixoto saved Bezerros EC from getting behind. In the 90th minute Leonides Remir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute of the match Deportivo Mandiyu got a corner. Bezerros EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aristides Hermelando ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Benigno Larpe managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Leonides Remir struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Luiz Fernando Peixoto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Mandiyu. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Deportivo Mandiyu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
