The supporters of Lamento Boliviano booed when Sinsin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Clement didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bavo Van Eeckhout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Algimantas Tarasevičius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Vanooteghem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Vergílio having to interfere. Algimantas Tarasevičius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Bavo Van Eeckhout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Algimantas Tarasevičius got free with Bavo Van Eeckhout in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, Lamento Boliviano's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Vinx came free, but Augusto Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Vanooteghem in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Vergílio saved Lamento Boliviano from getting behind. Christovao Abastas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, Lamento Boliviano's Bavo Van Eeckhout threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Christovao Abastas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
