Rafa Lojewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afşar Uçuk in the 13th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Cássio Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute, Karol Panasewicz made a precise shot to the right of Rafa Lojewski. Go Ahead Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Robin Sharma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Facundo Bot in the 24th minute of the match. Go Ahead Eagles's Rafa Lojewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Go Ahead Eagles from getting a goal against them. In the 33rd minute of the match Blue Mountain State got a corner. Go Ahead Eagles's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag.
