The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maicon de Amorim in the 17th minute of play forced TaTeRo Boys's goalkeeper Bernardinho Sharkin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Jovens Democratas MZC's Murillo Pinho got control of the ball when Matias Vegetti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jovens Democratas MZC's Murillo Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Vegetti in the 24th minute of play. Matias Vegetti could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Murillo Pinho made a huge save. After having played for 27 minutes, Frank Scarcella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jovens Democratas MZC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Scarcella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matias Vegetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Scarcella stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, TaTeRo Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Scarcella came free, but Bernardinho Sharkin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matias Vegetti's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Murillo Pinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Edvaldo Tande put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Murillo Pinho. Jovens Democratas MZC's Gilson Barros was substituted for Didi Cabral. Frank Scarcella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Bernardinho Sharkin made a huge save. TaTeRo Boys's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
