Victor Piţurcă could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Pankracy Zajonc made a huge save. Basilio Ovando made a great header on MZ Fénix's corner, it was just that Emerald's 彭树邦 managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 7th match minute, MZ Fénix was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Balsemão to maneuver through the defense. In the 8th minute of the match Gabriel Vermeşan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pankracy Zajonc showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Cai Yuan Yuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MZ Fénix's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cai Yuan Yuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Emerald defense, Cai Yuan Yuan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 彭树邦. The Emerald fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 彭树邦 should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Emerald's zone, Cai Yuan Yuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. 彭树邦 came out of the goal and Cai Yuan Yuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the game, Tomasz Waldoch threw the ball into play from the sideline. Emerald's 梅国崇 quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 23rd minute, Cai Yuan Yuan made a precise shot to the right of 彭树邦. Emerald's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. MZ Fénix's Pankracy Zajonc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 27th minute of play. When Cai Yuan Yuan came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the MZ Fénix fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cai Yuan Yuan couldn't finish the play. Victor Piţurcăs short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Pankracy Zajonc to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 彭树邦 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cai Yuan Yuan in the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cai Yuan Yuan in the 35th minute of play forced Emerald's goalkeeper 彭树邦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Gabriel Vermeşan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 彭树邦 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Yuan Yuan in the 42nd minute of play. 彭树邦 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cai Yuan Yuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half MZ Fénix were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Pankracy Zajonc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 59th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Emerald's goal looked a bit too open when Cai Yuan Yuan came free, but 彭树邦 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's Cai Yuan Yuan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 彭树邦 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. MZ Fénix made a substitution. Alexandre Valido replaced Vladimiro Granja. 彭树邦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cai Yuan Yuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the game, MZ Fénix's Cai Yuan Yuan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. 彭树邦 made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Cai Yuan Yuan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 彭树邦 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. In the 93rd minute, Florin Dragușin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. MZ Fénix had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
