Gonzalo Marcones hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 14th match minute, SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walmir Moraes to maneuver through the defense. 24 minutes into the match, SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ's Walmir Moraes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ulryk Bugajski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Argentino de Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Moraes came free, but Ulryk Bugajski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulryk Bugajski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredinho Machado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfredinho Machado in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The referee ignored SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ's protests and gave Marian Tuliszewski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SÃO JORGE FC - CIMZ getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. In the 58th minute Leonides Ixona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anastasios Bouroutzikas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
