Jan-Erik Kiempe charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan-Erik Kiempe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Blattnicksele's Jan-Erik Kiempe got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 17th play minutes Jozef Hauser shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Johannes Högberg and just under the crossbar into goal. Jozef Hauser recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Blattnicksele booed when Kysučan FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Masopust didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Alexander Kielberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Kurina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jozef Hauser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th match minute, Kysučan FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomáš Kundrát to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Blattnicksele defense, Vladimír Bella kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johannes Högberg. The Blattnicksele fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johannes Högberg should have stopped the shot. 45 minutes into the match, Blattnicksele's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Šrobár came free, but Johannes Högberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Martin Šrobár made the kick off in the second half. During the 51st minute of the match Jan-Erik Kiempe completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jan-Erik Kiempe a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 52nd minute, Jan-Erik Kiempe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Kysučan FK's Tomáš Kundrát got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Johannes Högberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomáš Kundrát's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. When Kysučan FK's Tomáš Kundrát in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Blattnicksele's goalie prevented a goal. In the 73rd minute Helge Granström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Kurina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jozef Hauser in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Johannes Högberg saved Blattnicksele from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Blattnicksele's zone, Martin Šrobár stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johannes Högberg came out of the goal and Martin Šrobár tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Per Lundberg hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Helge Granström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Kurina having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Jozef Hauser managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kysučan FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Jozef Hauser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johannes Högberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute Jozef Hauser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Högberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helge Granström scored 2-4 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ivan Kurina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ivan Kurina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helge Granström, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
