The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tomáš Hejnus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Johannes Högberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, FC Turany's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Erik Kiempe came free, but Antón Frešo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Róbert Korn scored 1-0 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johannes Högberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Peter Hargaš hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Alexander Kielberg kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. FC Turany's Antón Frešo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Helge Granström in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Korach in the 23rd minute of play forced Blattnicksele's goalkeeper Johannes Högberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomáš Hejnus might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johannes Högberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomáš Hejnus ran back to his position shaking his head. 28 minutes into the match, FC Turany's goal looked a bit too open when Helge Granström came free, but Antón Frešo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antón Frešo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Kielberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antón Frešo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Helge Granström, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Per-Erik Nyberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antón Frešo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helge Granström in the 39th minute of play forced FC Turany's goalkeeper Antón Frešo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomáš Hejnus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Högberg having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomáš Hejnus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, FC Turany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Hargaš to maneuver through the defense. Gustav Forsberg struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Antón Frešo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blattnicksele. 59 minutes into the match, FC Turany's goalkeeper Antón Frešo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Helge Granström. Antón Frešo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Kielberg in the 60th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan-Erik Kiempe got free with Antón Frešo in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jan-Erik Kiempe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Antón Frešo made a huge save. 67 minutes into the match, FC Turany's goalkeeper Antón Frešo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Erik Kiempe. After a defensive mix-up in Blattnicksele's zone, Tomáš Hejnus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johannes Högberg came out of the goal and Tomáš Hejnus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antón Frešo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Erik Kiempe, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Blattnicksele's goal looked a bit too open when Tomáš Hejnus came free, but Johannes Högberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd match minute, Blattnicksele was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Lönn to maneuver through the defense. Antón Frešo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helge Granström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute of the match Blattnicksele got a corner. FC Turany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. With a little luck, FC Turany's Antón Frešo got control of the ball when Helge Granström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Blattnicksele's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
