Helge Granström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gerson Bittencourt having to interfere. After 15 minutes, Paulo Renato Freitas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Correntezas EC and the Blattnicksele players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Blattnicksele booed when Correntezas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dé Chaves didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Alexander Kielberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dé Chaves's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johannes Högberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Gerson Bittencourt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Helge Granström in the 27th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Diego Madureira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Johannes Högberg. That made the score 2-0 in the 28 minute of play. Gerson Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Erik Kiempe in the 36th minute of the match. A collision led to Blattnicksele getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Roland Lönn hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Correntezas EC's Diego Madureira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johannes Högberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With 42 minutes on the clock, Ted Ekeroth commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 42 minutes into the game, one of Blattnicksele:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the Blattnicksele defense, Carlos Eduardo Massa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johannes Högberg. The Blattnicksele fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johannes Högberg should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

54 minutes into the match, Correntezas EC's goal looked a bit too open when Einar Tingberg came free, but Gerson Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 57th minute, Virgílio Pitta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Correntezas EC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. In the 60th minute, Helge Granström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 67 minutes into the match, Blattnicksele's goal looked a bit too open when Dé Chaves came free, but Johannes Högberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Roland Lönn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerson Bittencourt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Correntezas EC's Gerson Bittencourt got control of the ball when Helge Granström tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th match minute, Correntezas EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silas Tavares to maneuver through the defense. The Correntezas EC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
