Nunez Feliz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Xacintu having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Carhue's Petre Zărnescu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adriano Alfieri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Xu Wei got free with Adriano Alfieri in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute, Nunez Feliz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. CA Boca Jrs walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
