Roger Magalhães was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lonnie Hurley stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Calvin Yarbrough's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. When Korey Reed fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Key Biscayne FC's protests and gave Korey Reed a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Key Biscayne FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Korey Reed hit a great ball. When Key West FC's Calvin Yarbrough in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Key Biscayne FC's goalie prevented a goal. 13 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Ulrich was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Key West FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Key Biscayne FC the free kick. Reynaldo Ulrich kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. If Ali Hogue had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Key West FC defense, Georges Collard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roger Magalhães. The Key West FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roger Magalhães should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute, Korey Reed hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dustin Burton in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Key Biscayne FC booed when Key West FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casper Sands didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Calvin Yarbrough made a kick off. Mickey Harrell kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Ali Hogue recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Georges Collard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roger Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Calvin Yarbrough in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lonnie Hurley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mickey Harrell hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Ali Hogue ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Roger Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Ali Hogue who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Roger Magalhães when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Key Biscayne FC's Lonnie Hurley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasper Landrum in the 71st minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, Key Biscayne FC's Ali Hogue made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Magalhães was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Blaine Rudd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Key Biscayne FC's Lonnie Hurley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calvin Yarbrough in the 84th minute of play. Roger Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dustin Burton, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Key West FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blaine Rudd to maneuver through the defense. Roger Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dustin Burton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle sounded Key Biscayne FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Key West FC.
