The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roger Magalhães made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Tracy Shah sent off a good shot on target. In the 6th minute Jose Hoyt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roger Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Key West FC's goalkeeper Roger Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ben Gilliam. Ben Gilliam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Roger Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Key West FC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Mickey Harrell hit a great ball. In the 14th minute of the match Ben Gilliam shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Roger Magalhães showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lucas Navarro took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roger Magalhães. Roger Magalhães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Tracy Shah struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Roger Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ForestFire. The crowd rose to their feet as Tracy Shah kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roger Magalhães. That made the score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. Key West FC's Freddie Moyer got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Oscar Booth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roger Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Navarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Freddie Moyer fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Key West FC's protests and gave Freddie Moyer a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Key West FC got a freekick which was hit by Freddie Moyer. Roger Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Navarro in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Maarten Vissenaeken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the game, Lucas Navarro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roger Magalhães. Lucas Navarro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Lucas Navarro made the kick off in the second half. When Jose Hoyt came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the ForestFire fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jose Hoyt couldn't finish the play. After 57 minutes, Lucas Navarro made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Key West FC's Roger Magalhães tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 60 played minutes ForestFire got a freekick which was hit by Danial Dunbar. After having played for 61 minutes, Bradly Owen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Key West FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bradly Owen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Maarten Vissenaeken kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Ben Gilliam took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 63rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roger Magalhães. Key West FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 64th match minute, Key West FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddie Moyer to maneuver through the defense. When Ben Gilliam came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the ForestFire fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tracy Shah in the 70th minute of play forced Key West FC's goalkeeper Roger Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes, Lucas Navarro made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Key West FC's Roger Magalhães tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 81 minutes of play, ForestFire's Ben Gilliam made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roger Magalhães was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roger Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Navarro, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The supporters of ForestFire booed when Key West FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maarten Vissenaeken didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Key West FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tracy Shah came free, but Roger Magalhães reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Blaine Rudd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ForestFire's Shaki Conn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ForestFire fans cheered their team off the field, for while Key West FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
