The Lincolnwood fans' excitement grew in the 7th match minute when Lincolnwood's Normando Carreira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 11 minutes into the match, Reuben McClelland dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Emerson Recife, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Chelsea F's Elton Petty got a free kick in the 13th minute. Lincolnwood:s Emerson Recife showed great skill when he stopped Brady Slater:s penalty. Reuben McClelland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Emerson Recife tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Normando Carreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Everett Zavala. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Normando Carreira ran back to his position shaking his head. 29 minutes into the match, Lincolnwood's Normando Carreira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Everett Zavala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emerson Recife took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reuben McClelland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emerson Recife showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brady Slater, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. The corner ended in Brady Slater almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lincolnwood's Emerson Recife did a great save. Cruz Bragg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Normando Carreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Normando Carreira was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Chelsea F's zone, Rocky Hunt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everett Zavala came out of the goal and Rocky Hunt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brady Slater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Normando Carreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Normando Carreira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Everett Zavala was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Chelsea F's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Normando Carreira scored to the left of an out of position Everett Zavala, making the score, 1-2. 80 minutes into the game, Ted Morris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lincolnwood's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chelsea F the free kick. The supporters of Chelsea F booed when Lincolnwood was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted Morris didn't get a good kick on the ball. A throw-in in the 85th minute of the game was made by Severiano Resende with Gilbert Costa as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The crowd rose to their feet as Normando Carreira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Everett Zavala. That made the score 1-3 in the 88 minute of play. If Reuben McClelland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reuben McClelland struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Emerson Recife didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chelsea F. Rocky Hunt charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rocky Hunt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lincolnwood's Rocky Hunt got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 96th match minute, Lincolnwood was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cruz Bragg to maneuver through the defense. The Lincolnwood players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
