After 15 minutes New England Minas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Merlin Castro who took care of the corner kick. Khachatryan's Hu Wei Shu was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jeremy Nicholas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 21st minute, Edgardo Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New England Minas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Merlin Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremy Nicholas having to interfere. Tigran Balayan made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Tio Lio sent off a good shot on target. In the 34th minute of the match, Tio Lio got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tigran Balayan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 42nd minute, Tio Lio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th match minute, Khachatryan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merlin Castro to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Khachatryan's goalkeeper Tigran Balayan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tio Lio.

Khachatryan made a substitution. Grigor Grigoryan replaced Tigran Kirakosyan. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgardo Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tio Lio took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tigran Balayan. Tigran Balayan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 73 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Sung McKinley came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tigran Balayan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tio Lio, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute Edgardo Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tigran Balayan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Merlin Castro put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jeremy Nicholas. In the 84th minute Khachatryan were awarded a corner. Merlin Castro went to the cornerflag to take it. Tigran Balayan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tony Pacheco in the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Sito in the 89th minute of play forced Khachatryan's goalkeeper Tigran Balayan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tigran Balayan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Sito in the 92nd minute of the match. Merlin Castro might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeremy Nicholas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Merlin Castro ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Sito in the 95th minute of play forced Khachatryan's goalkeeper Tigran Balayan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Khachatryan's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Sito came free, but Tigran Balayan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
