Dominic Albright didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson came free, but Aaron Smallwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lanny Gilmore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Guilherme Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lanny Gilmore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santos FC's Terence Nicholas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Peter Hood in the 15 minute of the game. The throw-in from Peter Hood in the 21st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Santos FC's Terence Nicholas. 25 minutes into the game, Rodney Hagen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Aaron Smallwood was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aaron Smallwood made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Rodney Hagen sent off a good shot on target. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Guilherme Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 33rd minute of play. Santos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Warren Ruiz in the 34th minute. A nice corner shot did that Cesar Small got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Guilherme Veiga quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Nathanial Coppack got a free kick in the 37th minute. Warren Ruiz missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 38 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Guilherme Veiga right hand side. The Santos FC fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Santos FC's Tyron Velasquez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Racing Miami Futbol Club made a substitution. Xu Yuan Lin replaced Larry Cermak. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lanny Gilmore to strike the kick off in the second half. Guilherme Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Tyron Velasquezs short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Guilherme Veiga to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Peter Hood with Rodney Hagen as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Chance Adams was substituted for Osvaldinho Ósvaldsson. In the 68thth minute of the game Trey Echols who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos FC's Aaron Smallwood was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aaron Smallwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chance Adams in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Peter Hood threw the ball into play from the sideline. Santos FC's Terence Nicholas quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. If Lanny Gilmore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tyron Velasquez came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Guilherme Veiga could save by the left post. After 78 minutes of play, Racing Miami Futbol Club's Chance Adams made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aaron Smallwood was left in no man's land by his defense there! A sloppy throw-in by Peter Hood in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Santos FC's Terence Nicholas. Guilherme Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 84th minute of play. Aaron Smallwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trey Echols, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Guilherme Veiga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 91st minute of the match. After 92 minutes, Dominic Albright mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos FC and the Racing Miami Futbol Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dominic Albright kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Racing Miami Futbol Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
