Lanny Gilmore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarrett Rosenberg having to make a save. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 5th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cosmos Soccer Club's Emanuel Novak got a free kick in the 9th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jarrett Rosenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 21 minutes of play, Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarrett Rosenberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Terence Nicholas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lanny Gilmore blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jarrett Rosenberg having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 28 minutes, Jarrett Rosenberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 34th minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Cosmos Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Lanny Gilmore came free, but Jarrett Rosenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cosmos Soccer Club's goalie prevented a goal. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 39th minute of play. 41 minutes into the game, Santos FC's Tyron Velasquez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jarrett Rosenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. The Santos FC fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lanny Gilmore recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrick Fontenot to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lanny Gilmore in the 52nd minute of play forced Cosmos Soccer Club's goalkeeper Jarrett Rosenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jarrett Rosenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lanny Gilmore in the 54th minute of play. After 55th play minutes Lanny Gilmore shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Jarrett Rosenberg and just under the crossbar into goal. Santos FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Warren Ruiz in the 59th minute. The corner led to Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 63 minutes into the game, Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jarrett Rosenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Tyron Velasquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jarrett Rosenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the game, Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jarrett Rosenberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. After some careless play in the Cosmos Soccer Club defense, Lanny Gilmore kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg. The Cosmos Soccer Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jarrett Rosenberg should have stopped the shot. Lanny Gilmore struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Jarrett Rosenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santos FC. Jarrett Rosenberg came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore. But to his dismay, Lanny Gilmore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Harvey Flynn hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Terence Nicholas scored 12-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jarrett Rosenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cosmos Soccer Club's goalie prevented a goal. Santos FC were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after Cosmos Soccer Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Warren Ruiz took the corner. Terence Nicholas made a great header on Santos FC's corner, it was just that Cosmos Soccer Club's Jarrett Rosenberg managed to reach the ball for a save. Santos FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
