Ross Buchanan was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Otis Short capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Otis Short really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Cao Shi Yi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 9thth minute, Ross Buchanan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cao Shi Yi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ross Buchanan made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Christoffer Sundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With his leg Ross Buchanan managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when The Team FC's Cao Shi Yi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ross Buchanan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shelton Flanagan in the 20th minute. In the 25th minute, Nereo Florinio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Hickman in the 34th minute of play forced The Team FC's goalkeeper Aníbal Lorenzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Slower Lower FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Derick Murry in the 35th minute. In the 41st match minute, The Team FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rex McLain to maneuver through the defense. Ross Buchanan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cao Shi Yi, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The supporters of The Team FC booed when Slower Lower FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gustafson didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cao Shi Yi in the 51st minute of play forced Slower Lower FC's goalkeeper Ross Buchanan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Hector Hickman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slower Lower FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Hickman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aníbal Lorenzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 56 minutes into the match, Cao Shi Yi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ross Buchanan. Slower Lower FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cao Shi Yi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 59th minute, Derick Murry hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ross Buchanan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cao Shi Yi in the 60th minute of play. When Jeramy Carter fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Slower Lower FC's protests and gave Jeramy Carter a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Jeramy Carter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Team FC's Gavin Singleton was substituted for Otis Short. Jeramy Carter kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Ross Buchanan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shelton Flanagan in the 71st minute of play. Gavin Singleton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ross Buchanan having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Shelton Flanagan made a precise shot to the right of Ross Buchanan. Slower Lower FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 83rd minute Grant Foote shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ross Buchanan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Team FC were furious when Marcus Fransson was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The Team FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
