Gerardo Beard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aníbal Lorenzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dwight Schrute in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute Jonas Cole shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aníbal Lorenzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otis Short's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jospeh McNally read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Aníbal Lorenzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dwight Schrute's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Otis Short got free with Jospeh McNally in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd minute Dwight Schrute shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aníbal Lorenzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25thth minute of the game Cao Shi Yi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cao Shi Yi in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jospeh McNally prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in The Team FC's zone, Jonas Cole stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aníbal Lorenzi came out of the goal and Jonas Cole tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trenton Long hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Cao Shi Yi made the kick off in the second half. Jospeh McNally took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cao Shi Yi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jospeh McNally made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shelton Flanagan in the 55th minute of play. Jospeh McNally didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shelton Flanagan went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dwight Schrute in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aníbal Lorenzi saved The Team FC from getting behind. 67 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cao Shi Yi came free, but Jospeh McNally reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Cao Shi Yi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The The Team FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The Team FC made a substitution. Grant Foote replaced Rex McLain. Jospeh McNally showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shelton Flanagan in the 76th minute of the match. After 78 played minutes, The Team FC's Shelton Flanagan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jospeh McNally came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The Team FC reached it. In the 78th minute, Shelton Flanagan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 minutes The Team FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jonas Cole who took care of the corner kick. 86 minutes into the match, The Team FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dráuzio Barral came free, but Aníbal Lorenzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Team FC's Aníbal Lorenzi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save The Team FC from getting a goal against them. After having played for 91 minutes, Stacy McDonough managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brooklyn SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stacy McDonough was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. The Team FC had won after a very even match.
