With a little luck, Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally got control of the ball when Gualterio Aguirre tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the game Roberto Perfumo made a throw-in which Rene Harman played forward. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualterio Aguirre in the 23rd minute of play forced Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualterio Aguirre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Jospeh McNally tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Atletico Patoruzu's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Cole was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Atletico Patoruzu's Rene Harman got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trenton Long fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Hawk having to interfere. Gerardo Beard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atletico Patoruzu's Teobaldo Gaizkine was substituted for Diego Latorre. When Rene Harman came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Atletico Patoruzu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rene Harman couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Jonas Cole left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brooklyn SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4.
