Jonathon Frost could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Randall Stevens made a huge save. 21 minutes into the match, Chard United's Virgilio Kennedy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hilario Carro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Chard United were awarded a corner. Lukasz Jazwiec went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Chard United's corner Lukasz Jazwiec fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Hilario Carro quite easily take care of the ball. Kerem Aktürkoglu kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Lake Junaluska FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Pollard to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Virgilio Kennedy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hilario Carro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Randall Stevens stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Keenan Blake's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kerem Aktürkoglu during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Chard United getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Kerem Aktürkoglu hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Chard United made a substitution. Martin Craven replaced Lamar Arthur. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgilio Kennedy made a kick off. When Keenan Blake fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lake Junaluska FC's protests and gave Keenan Blake a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Keenan Blake hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Lukasz Jazwiec from long distance, 57 minutes into the match, got Hilario Carro's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Hilario Carro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Martin Craven showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 63 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keenan Blake in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Randall Stevens saved Chard United from getting behind. 81 minutes into the match, Lake Junaluska FC's Joel Pollard sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Randall Stevens narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Virgilio Kennedy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Hilario Carro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lake Junaluska FC's Hilario Carro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgilio Kennedy in the 87th minute of play. Hilario Carro didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Chard United's Virgilio Kennedy shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Virgilio Kennedy got in the 93rd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Hilario Carro handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Martin Craven got free with Hilario Carro in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match was over Chard United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lake Junaluska FC throughout the match.
