Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sidney Forbes in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduardo Remicio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sidney Forbes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Remicio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. In the 7th minute, Sidney Forbes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute Glen Lefler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Mondragón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Forbes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduardo Remicio having to make a save. Eduardo Remicio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Forbes in the 11th minute of the match. Farid Mondragón made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bruno Oskitz in the 14th minute. When C. A. Eduardo Remicio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xu Yun Quan, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 39th match minute, C. A. Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ryszard Prusinowski to maneuver through the defense. After 43 minutes of play, C. A. Independiente's Xu Yun Quan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Remicio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Eduardo Remicio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, New Iberia AFC's Eduardo Remicio got control of the ball when Sidney Forbes tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Sidney Forbes came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the C. A. Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidney Forbes couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidney Forbes in the 76th minute of play forced New Iberia AFC's goalkeeper Eduardo Remicio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. C. A. Independiente were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after New Iberia AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Kerry Sellers took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Sidney Forbes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eduardo Remicio quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Sellers in the 89th minute of play forced New Iberia AFC's goalkeeper Eduardo Remicio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sidney Forbes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Eduardo Remicio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Sidney Forbes managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidney Forbes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Remicio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The New Iberia AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching C. A. Independiente's performance. The match ended with a win for C. A. Independiente.
