Spectators: 184 (Terracing: 139, Seating: 42, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Xu Yun Quan made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind ACC Mavericks's goalkeeper Bob Hyatt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bob Hyatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidney Forbes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidney Forbes hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Steve Van Clynenbreugel kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Bob Hyatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidney Forbes in the 11th minute of play. Bob Hyatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xu Yun Quan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute C. A. Independiente were awarded a corner. Kerry Sellers went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Xu Yun Quan managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience was convinced that Steve Van Clynenbreugel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Farid Mondragón was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sidney Forbes in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bob Hyatt saved ACC Mavericks from getting behind. Bob Hyatt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xu Yun Quan in the 21st minute of play. After 23 minutes ACC Mavericks's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kerry Sellers who took care of the corner kick. Bob Hyatt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xu Yun Quan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Sidney Forbes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bob Hyatt having to make a save. ACC Mavericks's Bob Hyatt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Forbes in the 34th minute of play. Bob Hyatt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xu Yun Quan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, ACC Mavericks's Nerio Lopez de Toro got a free kick in the 36th minute. Bob Hyatt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerry Sellers in the 38th minute of the match. In the 41st minute Nerio Lopez de Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Mondragón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xu Yun Quan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Sidney Forbes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bob Hyatt was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Nerio Lopez de Toro made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Melvin Ruffin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. C. A. Independiente's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ACC Mavericks the free kick. Melvin Ruffin hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, Nerio Lopez de Toro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Farid Mondragón. C. A. Independiente's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nerio Lopez de Toro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 59th minute, Sidney Forbes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind ACC Mavericks's goalkeeper Bob Hyatt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rogério Maia hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. A collision led to ACC Mavericks getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Rogério Maia hit a great ball. Bob Hyatt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sidney Forbes's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. In the 75th minute Steve Van Clynenbreugel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Mondragón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sidney Forbes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Xu Yun Quan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Bob Hyatt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. C. A. Independiente's Xu Yun Quan got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Farid Mondragón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nerio Lopez de Toro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, ACC Mavericks's Nerio Lopez de Toro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Farid Mondragón narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Xu Yun Quan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bob Hyatt having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the ACC Mavericks players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
