The audience thought a goal was coming when Keenan Blake got free with Eduardo Remicio in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Lake Junaluska FC's Eduardo Remicio threw himself towards the right post 32 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jonathon Frost, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Oskitz in the 33rd minute of play forced Lake Junaluska FC's goalkeeper Hilario Carro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lake Junaluska FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Carlo Salazar was slow to take the kick. During this time New Iberia AFC's players had a chance to rest. Trevor Hamlin thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Hilario Carro, a very annoying self made goal in the 38th minute which led to 1-1. Roy Garrison blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hilario Carro having to make a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Glen Lefler to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Lake Junaluska FC's Trevor Hamlin got a free kick in the 50th minute. Glen Lefler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Hilario Carro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, New Iberia AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Darron Messer came free, but Eduardo Remicio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Lake Junaluska FC's Hilario Carro got control of the ball when Roy Garrison tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eduardo Remicio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darron Messer in the 67th minute of the match. In the 79thth minute of the game Keenan Blake who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but New Iberia AFC's Eduardo Remicio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eduardo Remicio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keenan Blake in the 81st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Keenan Blake in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eduardo Remicio saved New Iberia AFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keenan Blake in the 86th minute of play forced New Iberia AFC's goalkeeper Eduardo Remicio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the match, New Iberia AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Keenan Blake came free, but Eduardo Remicio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hilario Carro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roy Garrison in the 88th minute. A collision led to Lake Junaluska FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Trevor Hamlin hit a great ball. Hilario Carro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Glen Lefler in the 91st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Glen Lefler took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Hilario Carro to make any attempt to save it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. New Iberia AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
