With a little luck, Grosse Pointe Farms's Benito Lind got control of the ball when Rob Boswell tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, JAYET's Elias Ernst nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Lind made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After 16 minutes, Rob Boswell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JAYET and the Grosse Pointe Farms players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, JAYET's Rob Boswell got a free kick in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes Grosse Pointe Farms got a freekick which was hit by Deon Shelton. Deon Shelton hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Rob Boswell sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Grosse Pointe Farms's Benito Lind didn't even have to move. After 21 played minutes JAYET got a freekick which was hit by Julio Boswell. JAYET's Higinio Llanos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Len Springer in the 23rd minute of play. With a little luck, Grosse Pointe Farms's Benito Lind got control of the ball when Rob Boswell tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Grosse Pointe Farms's Cedric Ledbetter got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute, JAYET's Elias Ernst ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Lind. Benito Lind yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 28th minute, Grosse Pointe Farms's Cedric Ledbetter seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cedric Ledbetter the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Grosse Pointe Farms protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cedric Ledbetter had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Cedric Ledbetter kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Benito Lind made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Rob Boswell sent off a good shot on target. 41 minutes into the match, Rob Boswell notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Grosse Pointe Farms's Benito Lind. Benito Lind was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 44th minute, Emanuel Lindsten made a precise shot to the right of Benito Lind. Grosse Pointe Farms's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Louie Lefler kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Louie Lefler to strike the kick off in the second half. Louie Lefler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Higinio Llanos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deon Shelton hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Benito Lind didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elias Ernst went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Kyle Whitmore could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Higinio Llanos made a huge save. In the 66th match minute, JAYET was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elias Ernst to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Elias Ernst sped through Grosse Pointe Farms's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Lind. A throw-in in the 72nd minute of the game was made by Julio Boswell with Rob Boswell as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Rob Boswell managed to get in a good position for a shot. JAYET's supporters rose to their feet, but Rob Boswell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Lind breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerold Belanger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Higinio Llanos made a huge save. Benito Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Lefler in the 81st minute of play. In the 84th match minute, Grosse Pointe Farms was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kyle Whitmore to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute JAYET were awarded a corner. Rob Boswell went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind JAYET's goalkeeper Higinio Llanos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Grosse Pointe Farms players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for JAYET.
