Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Drew Shultz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alonso Snider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Drew Shultz having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Antonio Corley recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Drew Shultz. Alonso Snider's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Drew Shultz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Mel Ford hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 33 played minutes Alonso Snider rounded São Paulo Futebol Clube's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 5-0. Drew Shultz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

In the 53rd minute Antonio Corley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drew Shultz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Corley took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Drew Shultz. Drew Shultz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Alonso Snider sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 78th minute, Alonso Snider ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Drew Shultz was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. If Alonso Snider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 88th minute of the game was made by Nick Vazquez with Gregg Benjamin as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 94 minutes into the game, Nick Vazquez threw the ball into play from the sideline. San Antonio HotSPURS's Leroy Vega quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
