Spectators: 158 (Terracing: 119, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Shayne Cagle made the kick off which started today's match. After some careless play in the Grosse Pointe Farms defense, Rodolfo Cordero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Lind. The Grosse Pointe Farms fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Lind should have stopped the shot. 6 minutes into the game, Shayne Cagle recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benito Lind. Shayne Cagle showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. With a little luck, Grosse Pointe Farms's Benito Lind got control of the ball when Shayne Cagle tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute, Rodolfo Cordero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Waterbury Rangers fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 13th minute, Shayne Cagle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Lind didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Shayne Cagle went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Rodolfo Cordero had several of the Grosse Pointe Farms's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 22 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 5-0 score and a disappointed Benito Lind as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a defensive mix-up in Grosse Pointe Farms's zone, Rodolfo Cordero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Lind came out of the goal and Rodolfo Cordero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Preston Winston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Benito Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Deon Shelton kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Cordero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Lind, 6-0. Rodolfo Cordero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Benito Lind tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodolfo Cordero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

Kyle Whitmore hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the game, Shayne Cagle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waterbury Rangers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grosse Pointe Farms the free kick. After 53 played minutes Waterbury Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Shayne Cagle. In the 63rd minute, Deon Shelton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Waterbury Rangers's Ryan Esparza tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute, Rodolfo Cordero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute Troy Rangel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Lind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kyle Whitmore during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grosse Pointe Farms's Kyle Whitmore got a free kick in the 70th minute. Waterbury Rangers made a substitution. Tyron Huddleston replaced Bradley Romano. When Diego Thorne fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grosse Pointe Farms's protests and gave Diego Thorne a yellow card for diving instead. After 82 played minutes Grosse Pointe Farms got a freekick which was hit by Diego Thorne. After 83 played minutes Grosse Pointe Farms got a freekick which was hit by Len Springer. After 84 minutes of play, Waterbury Rangers's Shayne Cagle made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Lind was left in no man's land by his defense there! Waterbury Rangers's Rodolfo Cordero got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Waterbury Rangers made a substitution. Milton Canales replaced Rodolfo Cordero. Werner Comer made in the 92nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Preston Winston immediately put the ball in play. When the referee ended the match the Waterbury Rangers players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
