The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Los Angeles FC's zone, Ian Chung stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wallace McConnell came out of the goal and Ian Chung tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Chung might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wallace McConnell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ian Chung ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Los Angeles FC booed when Lake Wales FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rey Ivey didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Ian Chung left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lake Wales FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ian Chung came free with the goalkeeper in the 11th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Wallace McConnell could save by the left post. Wallace McConnell was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Stacy Kitchen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 16 minute of play. Danial Salter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the game, Lake Wales FC's Ian Chung nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wallace McConnell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 24th minute, Ian Chung left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lake Wales FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Los Angeles FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Danial Salter scored to the left of an out of position Wallace McConnell, making the score, 5-0. Roland Davenport in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wallace McConnell, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Danial Salter took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wallace McConnell. Wallace McConnell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. After having played for 37 minutes, Ian Chung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lake Wales FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Chung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 38 played minutes Lake Wales FC got a freekick which was hit by Ian Chung. In the 40th minute Danial Salter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wallace McConnell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Los Angeles FC's Wallace McConnell got control of the ball when Ian Chung tried to sneak it across the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 9-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Ian Chung made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Ian Chung left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lake Wales FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Danial Salter took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wallace McConnell. Los Angeles FC's Wallace McConnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danial Salter in the 60th minute of play. After 62 minutes of play, Lake Wales FC's Danial Salter made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wallace McConnell was left in no man's land by his defense there! 68 minutes into the game, Ian Chung cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 13-0. Wallace McConnell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wallace McConnell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danial Salter in the 72nd minute of play. If Ian Chung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ian Chung in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wallace McConnell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wallace McConnell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toby Ruiz went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 16-0 was the resulting score. Wallace McConnell came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lake Wales FC's Roland Davenport. But to his dismay, Roland Davenport quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 17-0. Wallace McConnell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danial Salter, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When Garth Wray came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Lake Wales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Garth Wray couldn't finish the play.
