Spectators: 157 (Terracing: 118, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leon Ledochowski started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Toby Cavazos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los Angeles FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dan Arellano during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Banfield FI booed when Los Angeles FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Arellano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Quinton Rivers got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Los Angeles FC's Wallace McConnell got control of the ball when Quinton Rivers tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Quinton Rivers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Banfield FI's Leon Ledochowski got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th match minute, Los Angeles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Nichols to maneuver through the defense. After 16 minutes, Vern McAllister mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Angeles FC and the Banfield FI players grew even worse after the yellow card. Los Angeles FC's Wallace McConnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Roriz in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute Leon Ledochowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wallace McConnell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes Los Angeles FC got a freekick which was hit by Dan Arellano. After 21 played minutes Los Angeles FC got a freekick which was hit by Antony Haas. Quinton Rivers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leon Ledochowski did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-1 to the left of a surprised Wallace McConnell 24 minutes into the match. After having played for 27 minutes, Stan Craft managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banfield FI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stan Craft was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quinton Rivers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Quinton Rivers took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wallace McConnell. Wallace McConnell dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 36 minutes into the game, Banfield FI's Quinton Rivers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wallace McConnell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 39th minute, Banfield FI's Leon Ledochowski ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wallace McConnell. Wallace McConnell yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Angeles FC's goalkeeper Wallace McConnell, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Virgilio Cowan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the match, Los Angeles FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Ledochowski came free, but Wallace McConnell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, Quinton Rivers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wallace McConnell was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. In the 56th minute, Quinton Rivers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Banfield FI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. 60 minutes into the match, Los Angeles FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Ledochowski came free, but Wallace McConnell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antony Haas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matthew Dotson kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Stan Craft fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wallace McConnell having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Quinton Rivers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Leon Ledochowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wallace McConnell was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Banfield FI's attack was well implemented in the 68th minute, but when Leon Ledochowski was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 70th minute, Leon Ledochowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wallace McConnell was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Leon Ledochowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wallace McConnell having to make a save. 75 minutes into the match, Los Angeles FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Ledochowski came free, but Wallace McConnell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, Stan Craft cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 8-1. Wallace McConnell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wallace McConnell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Ledochowski in the 81st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leon Ledochowski in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wallace McConnell saved Los Angeles FC from getting behind. Dan Arellano got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Los Angeles FC's Dan Arellano got a free kick in the 84th minute. The supporters of Banfield FI booed when Los Angeles FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aurelio Nichols didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los Angeles FC's Wallace McConnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Ledochowski in the 87th minute of play. Leon Ledochowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wallace McConnell came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Banfield FI's Quinton Rivers. But to his dismay, Quinton Rivers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-1. Virgilio Cowan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Banfield FI had played much better football throughout.
