Los Angeles FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ali Bagley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Joesph Hager received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Wallace McConnell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Mike Feliciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelo Gröhe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benedict Cottrell went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Marcelo Gröhe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert McKinney, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Joesph Hager received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Wallace McConnell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robert McKinney hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Wallace McConnell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joesph Hager, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Louie Bowden kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toby Cavazos in the 45th minute of play forced Wichita Regulators's goalkeeper Marcelo Gröhe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brent Fontenot charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brent Fontenot the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Brent Fontenot kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Toby Cavazos was the one to do the kick off. Wichita Regulators's Marcelo Gröhe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toby Cavazos in the 56th minute of play. Joesph Hager fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wallace McConnell having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joesph Hager got free with Wallace McConnell in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aurelio Nichols kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Joesph Hager kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wallace McConnell. That made the score 1-2 in the 64 minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Wichita Regulators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Feliciano to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Los Angeles FC's Claude Allred got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute, Chad Lowe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 78 played minutes Los Angeles FC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Nichols. In the 79th minute, Stewart Lowery hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Los Angeles FC's Toby Cavazos got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd match minute, Wichita Regulators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mitch Logan to maneuver through the defense. 86 minutes into the match, Los Angeles FC's goalkeeper Wallace McConnell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joesph Hager. 89 minutes into the match, Wichita Regulators's goal looked a bit too open when Toby Cavazos came free, but Marcelo Gröhe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mitch Logan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Wichita Regulators eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
