The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Toby Cavazos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russell Lund having to interfere. Bryant Moses charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bryant Moses the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bryant Moses kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the game, Phyperstars FC's Woodrow Ricks nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wallace McConnell made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Tracy Landry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phyperstars FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tracy Landry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wallace McConnell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th minute, Dan Arellano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Toby Cavazos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Russell Lund was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. When Phyperstars FC's Mitch Dunn in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Tracy Landry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mitch Dunn scored 5-0 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wallace McConnell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toby Cavazos to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Mitch Dunn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wallace McConnell. Los Angeles FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mitch Dunn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Toby Cavazos during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 59 played minutes Los Angeles FC got a freekick which was hit by Toby Cavazos. Wallace McConnell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitch Dunn in the 60th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Los Angeles FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tracy Landry came free, but Wallace McConnell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mitch Dunn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Wallace McConnell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wallace McConnell didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mitch Dunn went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. In the 78th match minute, Los Angeles FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Nichols to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Mitch Dunn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Phyperstars FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. Mitch Dunn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. The referee ignored Los Angeles FC's protests and gave Antony Haas a yellow card for diving instead. Phyperstars FC's Diego Booker was substituted for Gustavo Kessler. Antony Haas kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. In the 93rd minute Ron McElroy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wallace McConnell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phyperstars FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
