Maurício Roriz ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Banfield FI's corner Maurício Roriz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Russell Lund quite easily take care of the ball. In the 15th minute of the match Banfield FI got a corner. Phyperstars FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maurício Roriz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Banfield FI's Quinton Rivers getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tracy Landry in the 23rd minute of play forced Banfield FI's goalkeeper Markus Bachman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Phyperstars FC's Russell Lund got control of the ball when Leon Ledochowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Markus Bachman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mitch Dunn in the 30th minute of the match. Markus Bachman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodger Emerson, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Matthew Dotson hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Mitch Dunn scored 0-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Markus Bachman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mitch Dunn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Phyperstars FC's Mitch Dunn got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Russell Lund showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leon Ledochowski in the 54th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Banfield FI's Julio Fisher got a free kick in the 58th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Quinton Rivers notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Phyperstars FC's Russell Lund. Russell Lund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 67th minute Rodger Emerson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Markus Bachman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Ledochowski took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Russell Lund. Russell Lund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Phyperstars FC's goalkeeper Russell Lund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Russell Lund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Cowan, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Mitch Dunn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Markus Bachman made a huge save. Russell Lund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stan Craft in the 89th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Phyperstars FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Ledochowski came free, but Russell Lund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute, Quinton Rivers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Banfield FI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Russell Lund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinton Rivers, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Banfield FI's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
