With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anoush Khalatbari in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wallace McConnell saved Los Angeles FC from getting behind. The Wallace McConnell was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 43rdth minute of the game Jonah Ryan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Angeles FC's Wallace McConnell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 44 played minutes Los Angeles FC got a freekick which was hit by Antony Haas. After having played for 45 minutes, Darnell Metcalf managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. American Airlines's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darnell Metcalf was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wallace McConnell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darnell Metcalf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Los Angeles FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. American Airlines were winning 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonah Ryan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes Los Angeles FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Darnell Metcalf who took care of the corner kick. Wallace McConnell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anoush Khalatbari in the 54th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Jonah Ryan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wallace McConnell was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Adrian Trevino might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wallace McConnell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrian Trevino ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Los Angeles FC's zone, Edwin 雷震南 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wallace McConnell came out of the goal and Edwin 雷震南 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the match, Jonah Ryan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wallace McConnell. Los Angeles FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonah Ryan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. During the 70th minute of the match Aurelio Nichols completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Aurelio Nichols a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Aurelio Nichols hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. American Airlines's Armin Trabucco was substituted for Edwin 雷震南. The audience was convinced that Jonah Ryan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wallace McConnell was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. 79 minutes into the match, Darnell Metcalf dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wallace McConnell, 0-9. American Airlines's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
