Rodger Emerson hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. A throw-in in the 20th minute of the game was made by Del Altman with Anton Moses as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After having played for 22 minutes, Rashad Rosen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lima FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rashad Rosen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th minute, Ismael Fritz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Russell Lund was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 28th minute, Julio Matthews hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Mitch Dunn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bennett Donahue. Lima FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mitch Dunn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Ismael Fritz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute Rodger Emerson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bennett Donahue saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mitch Dunn in the 43rd minute of play forced Lima FC's goalkeeper Bennett Donahue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ismael Fritz succeeded in the game's 46th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ismael Fritz made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Lima FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otis Roach to maneuver through the defense. Lima FC's Julio Matthews managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gustavo Kessler in the 55 minute of the game. Bennett Donahue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitch Dunn in the 56th minute of play. Ismael Fritz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russell Lund having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Lima FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mitch Dunn came free, but Bennett Donahue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Phyperstars FC's Gustavo Kessler got a free kick in the 68th minute. After 72 played minutes Lima FC got a freekick which was hit by Otis Roach. Bennett Donahue stood somewhat misplaced when Mitch Dunn came free in front of goal and shot 2-3 to the left of him in the 73 minute. 79 minutes into the game, Lima FC's Ismael Fritz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Russell Lund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. After 81 played minutes Phyperstars FC's Woodrow Ricks stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Bennett Donahue stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Lima FC of the goal. After 85 played minutes Lima FC got a freekick which was hit by Bob Denton. Bennett Donahue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tracy Landry, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Woodrow Ricks got free with Bennett Donahue in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lima FC's Bennett Donahue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ron McElroy in the 91st minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
