Spectators: 157 (Terracing: 118, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Ali Bagley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wallace McConnell read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Los Angeles FC's Aurelio Nichols got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joesph Hager sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelo Gröhe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toby Cavazos in the 19th minute of play. Wichita Regulators's Stewart Lowery got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wallace McConnell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ali Bagley in the 28th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Los Angeles FC's Brent Fontenot got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 30 minutes, Vern McAllister mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los Angeles FC and the Wichita Regulators players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vern McAllister hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joesph Hager in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wallace McConnell saved Los Angeles FC from getting behind. Wichita Regulators's Marcelo Gröhe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antony Haas in the 34th minute of play. Wallace McConnell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joesph Hager, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. With 37 minutes on the clock, Vern McAllister commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Los Angeles FC! Joesph Hager's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Wallace McConnell firmly grabbed it by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Wallace McConnell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joesph Hager, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benedict Cottrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joesph Hager fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wallace McConnell having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Wichita Regulators got a freekick which was hit by Stewart Lowery. Wallace McConnell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joesph Hager in the 87th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Los Angeles FC's zone, Ali Bagley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wallace McConnell came out of the goal and Ali Bagley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
