Stacey Banning could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but José Maria Branco made a huge save. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Stacey Banning sped through United States's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of José Maria Branco. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind United States's goalkeeper José Maria Branco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eulalio Francesco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 史岚庭 in the 13th minute of play. The supporters of River tu grato nombre booed when United States was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darron Healy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19thth minute of the game Stacey Banning who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but United States's José Maria Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 21 played minutes United States got a freekick which was hit by Tad Cordero. Will Reaves kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Stacey Banning could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but José Maria Branco made a huge save. When Stacey Banning came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the River tu grato nombre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stacey Banning couldn't finish the play. José Maria Branco made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Stacey Banning sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute Peter Parker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Francesco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pablo Opilano was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Stacey Banning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Stacey Banning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Parker got free with Eulalio Francesco in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 60 minutes into the match, River tu grato nombre's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Opilano came free, but Eulalio Francesco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Maria Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stacey Banning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eulalio Francesco made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when 史岚庭 sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stacey Banning in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Maria Branco saved United States from getting behind. José Maria Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stacey Banning, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 77 minutes United States's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Stacey Banning who took care of the corner kick. Pedro Augusto De Assis Moreira took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Maria Branco. José Maria Branco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. When Felix Wedemeyer fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River tu grato nombre's protests and gave Felix Wedemeyer a yellow card for diving instead. Felix Wedemeyer hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. The supporters of River tu grato nombre booed when United States was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tad Cordero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Pablo Opilano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eulalio Francesco. River tu grato nombre's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pablo Opilano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Stacey Banning scored 5-1 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Maria Branco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. River tu grato nombre fully deserved thier win.
