Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pablo Opilano started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by František Spousta in the 3rd minute of play forced United States's goalkeeper José Maria Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peter Parker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilles Eichenberger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Gilles Eichenberger stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pablo Opilano's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. The United States fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when United States's Pablo Opilano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 史岚庭 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Gilles Eichenberger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilles Eichenberger made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Peter Parker sent off a good shot on target. After 26 minutes FC Schalke 04's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pablo Opilano who took care of the corner kick. United States were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after FC Schalke 04's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pablo Opilano took the corner. In the 82ndth minute of the game Pablo Opilano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Schalke 04's Gilles Eichenberger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pablo Opilano in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilles Eichenberger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner led to United States's Korey Groves getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Riho Hindpere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Maria Branco having to interfere.
