Pueblo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Russell Hare was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Egil Östlund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Boyd Winkler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ward Doran, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Egil Östlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerry Franco in the 15th minute of play. Egil Östlund made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Gerry Franco sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the match, Gerry Franco dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Egil Östlund, 1-0. Thanks to some nice moves Douglas Medley could shoot a difficult shot in the 20th minute, which Egil Östlund however easily saved by the left post. Russell Hare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Douglas Medley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Östlund having to interfere. Pueblo FC's Douglas Medley was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 29th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Golden Hills's goalkeeper Egil Östlund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Russell Hare. With a little luck, Golden Hills's Egil Östlund got control of the ball when Douglas Medley tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Ari Willingham in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Golden Hills's Jerold Brownell. Ward Doran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Douglas Medley was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Gerry Franco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Golden Hills's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jackson Valle was slow to take the kick. During this time Pueblo FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Douglas Medley got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Egil Östlund quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 61st minute of the match Pueblo FC got a corner. Golden Hills's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jackson Valle ran over to the corner to take the kick. Egil Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Douglas Medley, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Gerry Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Egil Östlund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Golden Hills's Ward Doran got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Egil Östlund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Medley in the 71st minute of play. Russell Hare might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egil Östlund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Russell Hare ran back to his position shaking his head. Egil Östlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Russell Hare, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 78 minutes into the game, Roman Farris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Golden Hills's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pueblo FC the free kick. In the 78th match minute, Golden Hills was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roman Farris to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Douglas Medley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute Douglas Medley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egil Östlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, George Haley was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pueblo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Golden Hills the free kick. After 93 played minutes Pueblo FC got a freekick which was hit by George Haley. Pueblo FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
